Warehouse Technician


The Successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Perform and ensure safe & efficient warehouse operations, including,   receiving, stocking, issuing, material returns, OSDR (Overage, Shortage, Damage & Rejection report) activities, handling bulky shipments, Inter affiliate loan / sale materials, duplicate / merging of materials, documentation and reports, coverage for turnaround, call-out / shutdown and urgent / emergency requirement.
  • Maintain warehouse document records as per guidelines provided in department procedure.
  • Ensure all materials received conform to general specifications and physical condition during receiving process.
  • Ensure the availability of MTC, MSDS & Operational Manuals as per database for the received materials.
  • Ensure processing/handling of OSDR for materials with discrepancies.
  • Review and follow up OSDR cases with concerns for proper resolution.
  • Monitor and clear warehouse-pending transactions, update change of locations in SAP system.
  • Support cycle count activities and perform discrepancy verification.
  • Perform inter affiliate sales/loan activities and follow up for return of loaned materials.
  • Perform on-time processing of warehouse transaction, promptness in serving customers and assist customers on their plans for any warehousing requirements.
  • Proper utilization of warehouse facilities in a manner that support for continuous cost reduction/saving through improvement in space utilization, and take advantage of achievements by supporting strategic purchasing in utilizing supplier held inventories.
  • Assist Warehouse supervisor in coordinating with industrial security & safety and government/port authorities to ensure that movement of materials, manpower, etc., are properly controlled and meet security requirements/regulations.
  • Maintain safety and quality of operations at all warehouses.
  • Coordinate with warehouse supervisor for arranging maintenance of material handling equipment’s and warehouse buildings.
  • Support warehouse capital & improvement projects.
  • Analyze information, evaluate results and coordinate with warehouse supervisor for resolution of customer’s issues.
  • Execute housekeeping schedules and ensure safe handling of equipment’s & materials.
  • Arrange for escorting vendors/transporter/visitors to and from security gates of affiliates. Arrange and approve gate passes for incoming/outgoing materials.
  • Ensure implementation of FIFO (first in & first out) process for placement & issuing the materials.
  • Physical handling of dormant/obsolete/surplus/expired materials and system updates accordingly.
  • Coordinate with end user for collection and confirmation of acceptance for non-stock materials.
  • Follow safety procedure in line with SABIC/AFFILIATES safety guidelines in order to ensure people and asset safety. 
  • Warehouse technician shall be certified and licensed to operate forklift and pickups/small vehicles 

Required Qualifications:

  • Matric or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Fully proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Must have light / normal driving license
